Last week, HPC Serbia had the pleasure of welcoming Marija Bijelić from NCC Austria for a collaboration meeting focused on strengthening ties between the two National Competence Centers. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss ongoing activities, and identify areas for closer cooperation within the broader EuroCC and EuroHPC ecosystem. NCC Austria is an active member of the European HPC community, supporting training, knowledge transfer, and the adoption of advanced computing technologies across academia and industry.

During the meeting, representatives of HPC Serbia and NCC Austria explored opportunities for establishing a deeper and more structured collaboration. Particular attention was given to organizing joint events, workshops, and webinars that could benefit users in both countries, as well as the wider regional HPC community.
The discussion also covered the exchange and re-use of training materials, with the goal of making high-quality educational content more accessible to researchers, students, and industry users. By sharing expertise and resources, both competence centers aim to enhance their training portfolios and increase the impact of their outreach activities.
The meeting confirmed a strong mutual interest in expanding cooperation and developing joint initiatives in the areas of high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and advanced data analytics. HPC Serbia looks forward to continuing these discussions and transforming them into concrete activities that will further strengthen the European HPC ecosystem.
